    Monitoring Dell PowerConnect?

    Hi all,

I've used Zabbix for a couple years now successfully, and am now adding a new environment to monitor.

Does anyone have any experience or insight on monitoring a Dell Powerconnect switch? The main switch for this cabinet is a powerconnect 3548, and I haven't really been able to get much information into Zabbix for some reason. Will I need to create a template for this myself?

SNMP is fine on the switch, I can snmpwalk the switch remotely and return any data successfully.

    Any help/advice is appreciated.

Seems I've got most of the info working now with the 6548 template.

Have a look at the XML template generator thread. I've used this with some success against a Linksys SFE2000P, which is a Linksys-branded version of the same switch.

Also, POWER-ETHERNET-MIB:ethMainPseConsumptionPower.1 might be interesting to monitor.
