How to compare Days of Week Averages ???

Hello Gentlements,

I was wondering if its possible to make a trigger to compare de average results of the day and compare with the same day of week in the last week.
Like, compare the memory use in a machine on mondays.

Comparison with stats from the previous day, week or month would indeed be interesting.


So far the closet built-in thing to what you describe is fiddling with last(#N) ...

I sent an email to James, and Ill start to work in his patch to change the 24hours to last match day of week.

Its been a while since the last time I posted this thread. Today I remind of it and decide to share the solution with the others (may be kinda cpu-aggressive)

((({host:item.sum(#5070)}-{host:item.sum(#5040)})/30)>(1.2*{host:item.avg(#30)}))

Considering 120 secs in each update. This will get the sum of the last week + one hour and will subtract from the last week sum (now we have the last week, last hour sum) then we divide by 30 (to get avg value of the last hour, last week) and compare with the last hour value.

I realy think it works.
