Zabbix and Popups

Good morning and happy new year to all of you.

Is there a way to have a popup when critical or major events arrive ?

We found an interface with jabber but it doesn't work very well.

Hmmm ... we have a development called 'Zabbix Tray'. It's a sytem tray application that conect to ZABBIX Server (GUI) and get informations about triggers and status.

If Zabbix server is of course installed on an Ubuntu server the tray (client) has to work on Windows XP i'm affraid .

could you help me with that ?

Zabbix Tray can run in windows and Linux too ... if you want I can send you to some 'tests' ....

I found the plugin and did install it.

Went in options but i should make something wrong.

Nothing appear in the module at the bottom of the screen, and main zabbix window stop workin.

:-(

If i deactivate the plugin main zabbix window work again.

I'm talking about a Sytem Tray Application ... without any relationship whith browsers .....

Tried this but it did stop Zabbix server and I had troubles to make it start again.

I had to deactivate the plugin :-(

Zabbix Tray

Hi Luciano,

I installed Zabbix Tray with no problems .

I have a big Z in the task bar, hear a sound time to time but nothing appear.

I checked the open window box of course in the options menu.

What could i do wrong.

We plan to upgrade but we have to plan that to do not disturb our production.

I just installed this, nice green Z in my system tray (Vista) and it beeps every minute when there is an issue in Zabbix but it stays green and nothing pops up. Using it with 1.8.

I thought this might be (it might) what I am looking for rather than using jabber (very very unreliable) as a desktop alert to an issue.
