Data agregation question.

Hi,

We would like to remove our old Nagios and Cacti from service and use Zabbix as a monitoring system.

But for that we need some more info, we manage clusters of web servers. Because of that we need info for each machine in the cluster but also the global statistics for the whole cluster.

My point is all data are fetched with SNMP and we need to know if there is a way to agregate data of each machine to create a global cluster statistics ?

There is the aggregate item type. That will allow you to create average, total and I think min/max for one item across all hosts in a group. The manual has more on this.

You can create aggregated items.
An aggregated item applies to an host group and is built on an item present on each host.

Hi need new advice about data agregation.

I got a full group of server with some checks. I would like to agregate the data, I know the formula from the documentation.

But where to put the formula using the "groupsum" function ? I tried by creating a new virtual host and add an item with this formula in the expression field. This item has the type calculated.

Is it the correct way ? Still no graph for the moment for this data

Formula: groupsum["Grid 1","system.cpu.load[,avg1]","last","0"]
