So, do you have the stock template of Template_Windows?
(Case and spelling sensitive, including underscore)
Yes i have the stock template: Template_Windows, but i looks like that he wants an new version of the Template_Windows. I only have the stock template which only checks on CPU/HDD and a few other things.
I believe in 2.0 (the version of yours) the template can provide more info and checks.

I already download another Windows template for my environment because the Template_Windows is not getting me much info or triggers.

So i thought maybe you could export the Template_Windows of version 2.0 and i could import it. But i am not sure if a template on version 2.0 also works in version 1.8

Template attached. Before you attempt to import it, you will want to go inside the new xml and change the name Template_Windows to something else, so it doesn't conflict with your existing template. You might also want to try this in a Dev or Test box first.

(Notepad++ rocks as an XML editor, BTW. Great all around replacement for stock Notepad)

Regarding this point, you are right, the supplied template is just very basic. Most folks end up customizing their templates to suit their needs.

Something else you will end up using quite a bit to monitor Windows is your own userparameters. Zabbix works very well in conjunction with the metrics already supplied (natively) in Windows through PerfMon.

Look at message #2 on this thread:

Thnx for uploading the XML file. Unfortunataly the template import was successfull but he ist listing in the template list.

I tried to strip the Exchange 2010 template and the dependency on the Windows server template and that worked. So i deleted the dependency on it.

          Thnx for your help!

                    Data from template

                    Hi all,

i import the Exchange 2010 Template.
but im not understand the data that i recived.
in all data i get 255
                    for example:
Service state of Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology MSExchangeADTopology - 255
                    MSExchangeAntispamUpdate - 255
                    MSExchangeMailboxAssistants -255
                    ...
Can someone explain to me what that means?
