here is a small script to install zabbix1.8.8 with postgres8.4 and jabber.. it was tested on Debian Squeeze and Ubuntu 10.04LTS.

install:
download it

mv zabbix_install.txt zabbix_install.sh
chmod +x zabbix_install.sh
sh zabbix_install.sh

wait few seconds and have al lot of fun..
