Attached is a template for Tripplite UPS monitoring. The engineers who designed the SNMP code for the various Tripplite systems owe us several beers.

The various values and locations vary for each model of UPS and sometimes vary within the same model. This template makes heavy use of SNMP Dynamic Indexes to try to find the values for each model.

I tried using the template you provided but ran into an error. I am getting No permission for template "Template_PingCheckHA" when I try to import. Is this a ping template that you wrote and are referencing in the tripplite code?

Yes, we reference this sub template for all our ping checks. You could edit the Tripplite XML file to remove the dependency or import the Template_PingCheckHA.xml template first:

Tripplite UPS template

I tried the template proposed in this thread and I don't get any data from my Tripplite UPS. I see it as smtp monitored, but I only get the model, it's the only data that it pull from the UPS.

Do I need a macro definition? Is it too old and does not work anymore? Is there a new template or a new way to monitor a Tripplite UPS?
