    OpenSuse came with Zabbix 2.0.1

OpenSuse provide now Zabbix 2.0.1 rpm, server and agent.

There is some errors in RPMs hopefully simple to fix

I would suggest helping the with the Fedora project packaging of Zabbix. This is the upstream project to the EPEL repository. The OpenSuSE build service is great, but it's biggest downside is the plethora of duplicate builds, unfortunately many of them go stale after a while. If you help with the Fedora build efforts you are helping to ensure the Zabbix package in EPEL does not stagnate as there is more than one person involved.

I'm using both Suse/OpenSuse and CentOS 5/6 and I'll be happy to get Zabbix 2.0 for CentOS 5/6 also.

          Does anyone have this SPEC?

I tried downloading from the website but it appears repo.*andrewfarley.*com is down for the count. I don't really understand why the zabbix core team does not maintain a RH compatible spec file for zabbix in the distro, but backporting from Fedora Rawhide is a no-go to CentOS 6 due to the major differences involved, like the init system for example. At any rate I would love a RHEL 6 compatible spec file if anyone has it.

          Thanks!

Surely it'd just be a question of automating the generation of the rpm's using the .spec file for each release? Official rpm files would make installation so much easier.

                    Dependancy issues.

                    Hi All,

I've been trying to build this rpm with 2.0.3 sources instead of their provided 2.0.2 source. They've added some redhat startup scripts and their patches won't apply to 2.0.3, Apart from that I'm still fixing some dependancy issues and it'll be a half decent spec file.

                    -Max.

                      That would be appreciated

maybe zabbix could take up the spec file and make it more official !
