    Fujitsu Hardware monitoring Template

    Hi

This is my first template i made for Zabbix.

It's a template for monitoring the hardware of a Fujitsu Server via ipmi (the irmc board)

My contribution for the community, hope everything works well, any remarks are welcome ...

    Tested on Zabbix 2.0-2.0.2-2.0.3

    Hi nickp!

Thank you for the template, its very good and usable, But if no problem, I would have some questions about a Fujitsu RX200 s5 IRMC:

I try to direct connect to the IRMC from Zabbix with default settings (IP: IRMC ip address, port: 623), but of course, the connection is failed, because not listen any service on tcp port 623.

What is the general solution for this scenario? I need an ipmi daemon in the operating system on the rx200? Or enough some extra settings through IRMC web gui or BIOS? (I try add an ipmi terminal user, enable telnet service on port 623, etc..., but did not help.)

Ups, Looks like IRMC/IPMI is ok, I just had to switch some IPMI poller in zabbix config, and voila...

So, evrything is fine, expect for the "Ambient Temperature" item. The return value of this item is "discrete sensor is not supported". There is a some kind of solution this way?

        Hi

Indeed you need to start an (or more) ipmi pollers.

About that error, not sure what that is, my knowledge of Zabbix is also still in a learning curve..
But i read something that Zabbix doesn't support discrete sensors yet, this would have been much more easy to make a template.
Instead of defining all the items, discrete sensors would give you all the info you want with only one command.

Anyone knows the status of that?

          Hello Nickp,

I have error when I try import your template. I have zabbix 2.0.3 and this is error:

          Code:
Trigger "iRMC1.8STBY Warning[{ITEM.VALUE}]" depends on trigger "Power", which does not exist.

            Replace this line:

            Code:
            <expression>{SECIT_ESXI01:TotalPower.last(0)}=0</expression>
            to:

            Code:
            <expression>{Template IPMI Fujitsu:TotalPower.last(0)}=0</expression>

I have two modifications to the nickp's template, i hope so no problem that I share it.

              The mods:
              • The dependency expression in iRMC1.8STBY trigger corrected,
              • "ITEM.VALUE" parameter at trigger names replaced to "HOST.NAME". IRMC hostnames now shows in the subject at email/SMS/jabber alerts. The collected item value are still show on the bottom of the alerts.

                  Hi Chal,

On which model Fujitsu Server, did you test, because I have problem with this template on server RX200S7?
Ambient Temperature, Battery +3 CPU2 Temperature and FAN2,3,4,5 zabbix show unsupported. It's really weird, because I have RX200S6 and all works very well.
Hm, now it's workin ok but sometime zabbix show mi item as unsupported...
In zabbix_server.log I have errors messages:

10787:20121210:153329.930 item [RX200S7:CPU1_Temperature] became not supported: sensor or control CPU1@[IP_REMOTE_IPMI]:623 does not exist

Hello! I would like to renew this thread. I have a fresh Zabbix 3.2 server and trying to connect to FS RX300S4 irmc s2. Icreated user in irmc with user privilege. IRMC is reachable from zabbix server (ping wise). I used template from the post above.

And it constantly show me different error depending on the auth tpe i choose:
MD5: cannot connect to IPMI host: [22] Invalid argument
Default: cannot connect to IPMI host: [22] Invalid argument
None: cannot connect to IPMI host: [22] Invalid argument
MD2: cannot connect to IPMI host: [22] Invalid argument
Straight: cannot connect to IPMI host: [22] Invalid argument
OEM: Cannot connect to IPMI host [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]:623. ipmi_ip_setup_con() returned error 0x16
RPMC+: Cannot connect to IPMI host [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]:623. ipmi_ip_setup_con() returned error 0x16
