New Template: VMWare ESXi 5.0 SNMP

I wanted to monitor VMWare ESXi, and I didn't see any templates online for it.

Discovery of Datastores, & VMs. Tracks host memory usage. I couldn't find CPU. Please give me a shout if you find it.

    I've tested it locally on 5.0 & 5.1

What are you using to get the info from ESXi? SNMP, SSH, etc...

As per the subject line, it's doing it via SNMP.

It's a straight up export from my system, so let me know if there's any issue with the import.

Cannot implode expression "{Template SNMP OS ESXi:hrStorageUsedBlocks[{#SNMPINDEX}].last(0)} / {Template SNMP OS ESXi:hrStorageSizeBlocks[{#SNMPINDEX}].last(0)} > 0.9". Incorrect item key "hrStorageUsedBlocks[{#SNMPINDEX}]" provided for trigger expression on "Template SNMP OS ESXi".

              Happens only if I rename

              Code:
              <template>Template SNMP OS ESXi</template>
              <name>Template SNMP OS ESXi</name>
in the XML. Straight import sucesses ...

Makes sense since you are referencing exactly THAT names ...

Steve, I'm not understanding you. Is there an issue with importing the template as it is right now? Let me know if there's an adjustment I need to make to it so it imports cleanly for other people & I can re-upload.

If you're saying that it threw errors if you renamed the template in XML, then yes, you'd want to rename after importing. If you want to rename it ahead of time, just make sure you do a search/replace on the name to redo every instance of the reference.

                  Change to template

4/29/2014: Datastore detection required the MIB HOST-RESOURCES-MIB to be present. I've changed it to not require the MIB.

                    Hello Adune,

I was trying your template, I'm using VMware ESXi 5.5.0 build-1331820 and Zabbix 2.2.4 and I got an error with the discovery rules for Storage Use:

Cannot create graph: graph with the same name "Storage Use" already exists

So I just change the title of the graph like this:
                    Storage Use on {#SNMPINDEX}

if it can help some people I share
