    Dear steveboyson,

    Awesome, it's working perfectly fine for now I think, after I did remove the file /tmp/zbx_apache_localhost.txt, then it automatically creates a new /tmp/zbx_apache_localhost.txt one under "root" permission, not "zabbix"

    The 2 screenshots below that enough to tell me it's working fine?

        Dear steveboyson,

        I got a problem, when I come back to the office this morning then taking a look on the "Latest data" for comparison, guess? it's not changing, and the Graph is also disappeared

        What was going on? It just runs only once, after 300sec from the manual FETCH each?

          Set the interval for the worker script to let's say 60s and start watching your agent log. Eventually, increase debug level in zabbix_agentd.conf to get some more detailed output.

          Can't solve it from here ;-)

            Dear steveboyson,

            The interval of workerScript has already decreased to 60s.
            DebugLevel = 3

              That means that in your zabbix installation the host "xentos" is not installed. Clearly message ;-)

              Did you rename the host?

                Dear steveboyson,

                No, I did not. Thats a very weird case.
                I am at an impasse

                  We had that before, my friend.

                  The script wants to send the values to a host called "xentos" while your host is named "xentos.<somewhat>.org" in zabbix.

                  I wanted you to change the "hostname -s" line to just "hostname", you remember? It is the FQDN <-> "short hostname" issue again.

                    Dear steveboyson,

                    Nothing changes.

                    I'm noted that if I do the below

                    1.
                    zbx_server="xibbaz"
                    zbx_host=`hostname -s`

                    and change the hostname to "xentos" on the zabbix front-end GUI

                    then running
                    bash -x /home/zabbix/bin/zabbix_apache.sh
                    >>> it's working, but once at the time right after run the above script.

                    2.
                    zbx_server="xibbaz"
                    zbx_host=`hostname`

                    and change the hostname to "xentos.xxx.xxx.org" on the zabbix front-end GUI

                    then running
                    bash -x /home/zabbix/bin/zabbix_apache.sh
                    >>> again it's working, but once at the time right after run the above script.

                    Both cases are just working once. Any clues?

                    Should I further change the below.
                    zbx_server="xibbaz.xxx.xxx.org"
                    zbx_host=`hostname -s` / zbx_host=`hostname`
                    Please also take note the zabbix_agentd.log for both cases

                    1542:20140305:205223.432 active check "apache_stat[localhost]" is not supported
                    1542:20140305:210223.517 active check "apache_stat[localhost]" is not supported

                      Again: have the names identical - if you prefer the short name, stay on "hostname -s" and "xentos". If you like the FQDN, use "hostname" and "xentos.whatever.org"

                      And again^2: remove the file /tmp/zbx_apache_localhost.txt when it is created as root. Or give it correct permissions as stated some comments before.

                      Pls. excuse, I don't want to be offensive, but you should really know what you're doing.

                        Dear steveboyson,

                        I know you have tried very hard to assist me on this issue, and I also very much appreciated for this strong help, friend

                        Let me check again the issue between the FQDN and the `hostname -s` to see what is really going on, probably keep you posted if any news.

                          Apache, IIS, Exchange and MySQL via SNMP

                          Hello,

                          I am currently working on zabbix 2.2.2 and I would like to know, how to monitor applications: Apache, IIS, Exchange and MySQL via SNMP? would there be templates for this purpose? Otherwise, How?

                          thank you

                            For unix-based systems (actually: Net-SNMP), see that:
                            http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.p..._shell_scripts

                            For Windows: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro....mspx?mfr=true

                            By the way: all that can be found via your preferred search engine.

                              Thank you steveboyson, but how can i use it with zabbix? could you give me some documentation where it shows the steps for the supervision of apache, mysql, exchange, IIS with zabbix?

                                Pls. spend some time with the basic concepts of Zabbix. I cannot give you an exact or comprehensive consultancy on how to implement SNMP counters in Zabbix.

                                Basically, decide if you want to use LLD rules or if you want to create the items manually. Understand the concept of Zabbix' templates. Then configure your items (or item prototypes). It is pretty well covered in the docs.
