Web Scenario login Cookies and Session IDs

I've seen this question posted a few times in the past, with a response of "not supported". Thought I'd try it again to see if any progress in this area. In the future, will Zabbix be able to monitor applications using Web Scenarios that require the use of Cookies/JSESSIONID's?

Most newer web applications require the use of session id's throughout the web conversation. For Zabbix to be a comprehensive player in the Enterprise Web Application Monitoring space, there has to be a way to build Web Scenarios for validating the health of web applications using Cookies/JSESSIONID's. Without this capability, how could Zabbix Web Scenarios be used for monitoring major ERP applications such as Oracle/PeopleSoft, Lawson, etc? Thanks

I am experiencing the same issue..

I am using 2.0.11 trying to monitor a website.. First step works, 2nd stop (login) works. Third step fails because of what appears to be loss of session information, namely the JSESSIONID variable...
Anyone else having these issues / have a working fix / around or a good read that explains the secrets that are related to the POST GET aspects of these things?

    Thanks,
    J

I'm searching for information on the very same topic... it still seems like this sort of basic functionality is not supported... which is sad and disappointing.
I'd love to be proven wrong though... did you ever find anything?

          Same error in 2.4

          Hello,

Me too facing the error of "response code "500" did not match any of the required status codes "200"" when I tried to configure web monitoring for some xyz website where I configured Zabbix to login using valid credentials, variables and SID. But alas, I got above error of response code.

Also, even Zabbix runs the entire script successfully when I removed the credentials. Its really shocking and unexpected as I expected an error in this but it showed successful execution.

Please provide resolution asap @ [email protected]

          Thanks & Regards,
          Ashish Raj

              Hello everyone,

It's 2020 now. I just ran into this issue which is a show stopper on a much needed monitor for us. Has there been any progress? Has anyone found any fixes or workarounds?

Have you read the current documentation for web scenarios , including the example for real life web monitoring ? Those examples specifically talk about authentication and capturing and re-submitting session info.

I would argue that the documentation for this specific task could have more examples to help people getting started, but the functionality you need is probably there.
