Hello Gents,

Here is a template to monitor domain registration expiry dates using an external script.
The script itself has comprehensive awk rules to process pretty much all tld whois service query output.

Thank you for this, it is working perfectly! Is it possible to also output the expiration date along with the number of days until expiration?

I might do a major refactor of the bash script soon when i get some time with proper json output for metrics. The current version is just a slight modification of the original to get it to work with zabbix as i was in a hurry to get something in place.

I've published a new version of the template and script, which outputs json e.g: {"state":"OK","days_left":365,"days_since_expired" :0,"expire_date":"2026-06-24","message":"State: OK ; Days left: 365 ; Expire date: 2026-06-24"}
