Pinging IP addresses from Windows clients running Zabbix agent

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to ping other systems from a Windows system running zabbix agent. The specific scenario is that the zabbix server can ping these systems but sometimes the Windows server with the zabbix agent cannot reach them. The Windows machine running the zabbix agent is able to communicate with the zabbix server fine. I've have searched the forums and it seems that this is possible by using the User Parameters function on the zabbix agent but I have not been able to make it work from the posts I have read that say this is possible. I would like the zabbix agent to be able to do this without having to running powershell scripts. Any advice on how to achieve this would be appreciated.

Noob question, but... I have this working and returning ping data from hosts but how do I create a trigger for this so I am notified when a host cannot reach a ping target?
