    Warning vs. Critical mail notifications

    Hi all,

I am currently setting up a new Zabbix system and for this system it is needed that either warning and critical mails are sent out depending on the current threshold of an item.

    e. g. if the free diskspace on / passes the 90% mark, it should send a warning notification- is the 95% border passed a critical notification is shot out.

I still haven't found the best approach to get this done and so I am looking for a kind of "best practices" as I believe that other Zabbix users will have similar needs as well.

    Looking forward to your suggestions.
    Thanks!

    disk

I set my alarms to send out an alert if the disk space is less than 10% and less than 1 gig, 2.5 gig, 5 gig, etc.

Also, I get a notification for whenever the diskspace makes a big change. There is another thread on the forum about the recipe for showing large disk space changes.

      cdrom

Also, I check that the total disk space is greater than the size of a cdrom.

@Alexei: Can you give me a little more specific hint how trigger dependencies might help here?
