Zabbix 1.5.2 - Item Descriptions - Templates - Node Sync

Are Item Names with ":" legal? If so, we might make it so that users can not use Item names with ":" in them. This seems to be causing issues with node syncing. The node sync algorithm interprets the part before the ":" as a template name which causes a mess on a child node.

Should colons be allowed in the Item keys by a user? If not, I am thinking about modifying the filters to not allow them. The node sync algorithm intercepts the first colon as a template.
