If you unlink a parent template that has child templates from a host, individual itmes are unlinked from the child template and become part of the host itself.
For example:
1. Template.Parent has Template.Child1 and Template.Child2 linked to the Template.Parent under templates.
2. A host is linked to the Template.Parent and because Template.Child1 and Template.Child2 are linked to Template.Parent they to are linked to the Host.
3. Looking at the host items, you can see all 3 templates and items.
4. Unlink Template.Parent from the host and then go back into items for the host. You will see that the items that were attached to the Template.Child1 and Template.Child2 actually became separate individual items under the host.
