I have been testing with this build for most of today (I have another post about the install which took some time) and I just thought I would post a few thoughts.

First, the bug report.
1)After Admin logs in, click configuration, then Export/Import, and I get this:

export/import: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /home/zabbix/public_html/exp_imp.php on line 192

2)After Admin logs in, click Monitoring, Latest data, select a host. Some items the details work. Some when you click on graph/details you just get this error message

Next I have a few questions/commentary which are just somethings that I jotted down as I ran through various tests and configurations.

I configured an item and a trigger, tested it and all worked as expected. I then setup an Action to email me. The action supposedly worked, but I got no email.
Hrm.
Administration->Notifications went from 0 to 1, and then when the trigger went off it went to 2. OK so something triggered and it said I was notified. Still no email.
Hrm.
No big deal. I will just do what I always do when this comes up on the 1.4 system. I will navigate to Monitoring->Actions, right? Ummm no. There is no Actions under Monitoring.
Where did it go? I had a friend check to make sure I wasn't crazy, and then we went through and tried to find it elsewhere. I am at a loss. This was a great tool under 1.4 to find what action fired, what the message was, and when it was sent. Was this great tool removed? Or am I just unable to find it's new location? (If I just missed it, feel free to laugh at me btw, it was a typo on the email which I found after reviewing everything again.)

The next thing I have is, the dashboard. I love it from an Admins view. However, I created a user with limited rights (read only on only Windows servers) and when I logged in as that user, I still saw status messages for the Zabbix server (which is in Linux servers and Zabbix servers. Not Windows servers) on the "Status of Zabbix" menu. Can I not remove this?

I know this is probably way to late to add in, but it would be nice to be able to display specific items/triggers on the dashboard in the same way you can with the screens.

Lastly on this topic, I am kind of disappointed in the inventory. Has it changed much since Zabbix 1.0? It looks and performs exactly as it did in 1.4 at least. Considering that the Linux_template picks up the hostname, the Kernel version, and a few other things right off the bat I was kind of hoping that the profile would auto add it/update it in the inventory. I was at least hoping for added fields with the bonus of picking fields that were displayed. Instead it is just the same as it has been...

OK, time to stop being a downer. The Zabbix team has done a remarkable job and deserves some praise.
However, that makes the post too long, so I will make it a second post

For hours I have been adding hosts and experimenting with this build. I have too many things to praise for me to list them all off, but I would like to mention a few that are very big for me.

As an Admin who has a dedicated computer and monitor for watching Zabbix, I really love the dashboard.

The new Configuration->Actions? Brilliant! I love the layout, everything seems MUCH more intuitive and natural. The escalations (from what I have tested) work perfectly. I love being able to customize messages for triggers on and off. Everything works as expected...I am in awe. This really does make things much easier.

I haven't exactly pinned down why, but the new interface and menus seem much easier to navigate and use. It is not just me who has noticed it either. just doing simple routine things like adding an item seems much easier. We all are impressed.

The timeline selector tool. We have seen it before in the earlier betas, but we all love it. We haven't build up enough data yet to really test it, but we like it a lot so far. We do miss having an explicit reset button to take us to the latest hour. However, just hitting the browser refresh seems to do just that, so I don't mind so much

Then there are a ton of little things that I am drooling over. Like on the Overview page there on the left is a drop down to change the hosts location. I have seen some discussion about that on the forums but I always dismissed it. Now that I have seen it, I think it is great. I would like to see the text at the top angled so I don't have to twist my head so much, but that really is trivial to me.

Overall, we are very excited about this release. We are migrating a bunch of our development servers to the 1.5 beta system I just built (eg, boxes we don't care if alerts don't go out or if they are not monitored). Hopefully, I will be able to do a lot of testing and reporting of all the great things Zabbix does and be ready for the upcoming release.

Here's the fix:
Look at line 192 in exp_imp.php and change

$db_hosts = DBselect('SELECT * FROM hosts WHERE '.DBcondition('hostid',array_keys($hosts)); 

to

$db_hosts = DBselect('SELECT * FROM hosts WHERE '.DBcondition('hostid',array_keys($hosts))); 

I found another bug at the screens.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_history_of_triggers_events() in /var/www/zabbix/include/screens.inc.php on line 1077

This only, when I choose "History of events".

Is this also a bug or just a problem with my updated installation:

When I login as Admin and go to Monitoring -> Latest Data and klick on the graph link of any Item, I got always ERROR: No permissions !

I tried also with a new user, which has also super-admin rights.

This is actually still very relevant to me. It has been requested by several users to bring it back. Am I just missing its new location?

Also, a few users have requested being able to see which actions were sent to them on their Dashboard. Will this be more customizable/flexible in the future?

While speaking with a user on exactly what they would want customized to their dashboard, I realized that it was too complicated. After thinking for a moment, I realized 'Duh! I can use screens!'.

So the customization of the Dashboard can really be answered by a custom screen and I redirected the users to their custom screen on login. It works...or at least all appears to at the moment...I would appreciate comments and feedback for others who care about having personalized Dashboard/Screens; what have you done to address this topic?

While configuring the screens, I discovered that the "History of Actions" still exists as an item in the screens! Hooray! So that partially solves that problem.

I am not sure why it was removed from the Monitoring sub-menu, but I would still really like to have the Actions avalible as a primary sub-menu. Can anyone comment on why it was removed? Can it be added elsewhere besides mounted in a screen?

All right, it is time to make things more clear.

First of all, history of actions is not removed, it was moved to Administration->Audit->Audit actions. So, it is accessible by ZABBIX Super Administrators only, which I believe makes sense.

In order to see how ZABBIX reacted to a specific event, click on a trigger, then click on an event and see nice screen, which provides all possible information about single event including list of executed actions and remote commands.

Yes I agree Administration->Audit->Audit actions is a better place to put it. I had seen the Administration->Audit->Audit logs, but somehow completely missed the Audit actions. I have noticed a few other things that have moved and I have a feeling that there will be a few more forum posts from others who just overlooked the new location. It might be beneficial to have this kind of information in a sticky post when 1.6 is released.

Also, for the Trigger->Event details....WOW! That is good stuff. I really like that detailed information. I completely missed that before you mentioned it....
