    Zabbix-1.5.4 frontend

    Latest release (1.5.4 from website)

    2 issues:
    - Authentication type. I had authentication type on LDAP (no password fields in the user edit screen, which is good). After switching back to HTTP auth, still no password fields in the user edit screen.

    - When i log out, i can't login anymore. It keeps saying 'No permission'. Tried removing all cookies, no change.

    -- Edit
Had to test issue 2 with a 100% correct db schema.

You need to uncheck the LDAP authentication, to rollback authentication method to internal. HTTP auth is authentication through apache.

When you have ldap configured, and select http authentication, ldap is (in the web interface) automatically disabled (the checkbox in the ldap screen is unckecked).
but still no password fields in the user properties screen.
I'll try to play around with the checkboxes a bit to see if the webinterface feeds me false info.

The other issue seems related to the rights of the guest account. Not quite sure what the problem is, still looking.

      -- Edit
Stuck with the rights of the guest account.
Could you enlighten me what the guest account must have in order to get a login screen? (which fields in which tables must be set to what for the guest account / guest group).
I've been looking at the create/data.sql for 1.5.4 and check this against my db, but no luck so far =\

In LDAP Auth page, there is "LDAP Authentication Enabled" field with checkbox. Uncheck it and You should be back to nromal login method(zabbix internal).

HTTP authentication and standart zabbix login is two different types of authentication!!!

                aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
I see now, my appologies. I thought this was the same thing . . . .
And i do like the fact that there now also is the option for apache based auth.

                Thanks for the info!

As I understand you have set an HTTP auth and now you can't login to rollback to zabbix internal login
run this query for zabbix db:
                  Code:
                  UPDATE config SET authentication_type=0;
Also keep in mind, that since 1.5.3 or 1.5.4 (don't remember exactly) there is blocking system, if you try to login several times with wrong passwords, blocking system will be enabled. System will login you in 30sec if your password is correct

With LDAP authentication you can specify user-groups for internal login in GUI access!
