hey alexei,
i was poking around the source for 1.1alpha11 last night, and i noticed that you arent using a template engine for the php frontend. i understand your goal to keep external dependencies to a minimum, but i thought i'd suggest checking out smarty, in case you haven't yet. you might find that the advantages to using a template engine may outweigh the disadvantage of having one more dependency.
case in point; i found an old thread where you mentioned plans for a seperate read-only interface for customers to view their monitored assets. smarty would actually help a great deal in this area, because most people who would use this (eg: application service providers) would want to customize the interface with their own logos, etc. seperation of the application logic from the presentation would make the desired customizations very easy.
