In the configuration file, the hostname entry is currently required, what I would like to see changed is that this be made optional, with the default value being the host name as returned by the system.
This would make the zabbix_agentd.conf file just a little more standardizable acorss a large organization as we would no longer need to have a script that changes the hostname field in the config file.
