ZabbixW32 crashes with eventlog[system]

Here's an interesting one. I'm not sure of the design of the new event log monitoring item though, so it might be my fault.

I'm adding 2 items to my host eventlog[Applications] and eventlog[System].

When I activate eventlog[System], it crashes zabbixw32.

It appears that eventlog[Applications] work fine for now.

The zabbixw32 event log shows nothing pertaining to the crash.

The windows event log shows:

Faulting application ZabbixW32.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x00040c72.

Any ideas?

Please, try the very latest agent from www.zabbix.com/donwloads. Let me know if it works.

Thanks for the response. The new version did fix that problem, however now I have a few others.

1) The Application Event Log data is empty in Zabbix. The System Event Log went out and grabbed all events all the way back to July. The App Event Log didn't grab anything old. I haven't had any new events yet, so I don't know if it's working yet, but I assume it is.

2) The System Event Log data stopps at August 1, 2005. No event after that date is showing up in Zabbix. Even events that occured since I installed ZabbixW32.

I have the exact same problem, however the new version of the ZabbixW32.exe from beta1 did not fix the problem. It only happened on a couple of servers though, not all of them. I also have the same problem with not showing all of the data from teh event log, only up to August.

Did you find a fix for this??

Where do you see the missing even log entries? In Show the latest 500 or Show values of the last hour?

Show values for the last hour. The agents still stop on the servers as well.
