I would like to request that we change the default action elay from 30 seconds to 300 seconds. When someone is first setting up their system, I believe they are getting negative impressions about Zabbix with the current default delays. 30 second means that you can recieve a new alert every 30 seconds. By changing this to 5 minutes (300 seconds), they will still get the same actions, they simply won't be alerted as often.
FYI, I had one of our new guys set up some alerts last week, and not understanding what the delay meant, they set it to 5. One of the servers they were testing went down over the weekend and I recieved about 2K alerts. Didn't bother me as I knew exactly what happened and why, but the new guy is now saying that Zabbix is a "Piece Of Crap". Not my opinion, but I can see why he would think that.
