    1.7 Thoughts so far

So far I'm pretty pleased with the progress on 1.7. I think the User interface is better thought out and a little easier to use overall. I realize some users are going to be confused at the lack of an items tab under configuration. When configuring a host I especially like the quick status bar.

I would like to see some information regarding the new macros. It would be nice to know how to test them.

I like the new default background color for the graphs, I'm sure people will want to know how to change it if they can however.

Are the links to a help topic going to be implemented again?

As I said, overall I'm quite impressed at the progress during this devel period then during the previous one. Zabbix has definitely come a long way in the 6 or so years I've been playing with it. It starting to show a lot of polish. Good work.

    Thanks!

Note that there are little changes in the Monitoring tab so far. The work is in progress. Also some very interesting development going on the server side as well. Stay tuned!

I think we've all gotten so used to looking it up in the PDF or asking in the forums that we forget about that. However I think for newer users it's very important for cutting down a lot of the simpler questions and helping to bring people up to speed quickly.
