    Version 1.8 release date

    Hi Alexei and dev team,

Could you please tell us if you are confident with the Version 1.8 release date, as announced on your site: Oct 2009.

Thanks for info, just for adjusting a migration planning, we are waiting for UTF8.

Thanks for help and your great work,
    Alain / Grenoble (France)

The UTF8 stuff is nearly finished. We are still aiming to the end of October.

I think you can already start preliminary testing with the latest nightly build of the trunk.

It is very likely that the feature freeze will be announced early next week along with Zabbix 1.7.3 (beta). After another round of extensive testing we will release Zabbix 1.8 (stable).

                      Yay!

I'll be having a Merry Christmas then!

                      1.8 looks most excellent.
