API or Zabcon can help me?

    Hi,

We use an entreprise scheduling software (backup, restart, maintenance, etc.). I want this scheduling tool to communicate with ZABBIX.
Ex: When a reboot start (from the scheduling tool), disable monitoring on host, and enable monitoring when restart ended.

I can do this by mysql, but I perfer to not update the database directly.

Does the API or Zabcon can help me ? I would like to use linux or windows command line to update Zabbix host or item.

    Regards,
    Bernard

Yes they will both be able to help you. Zabcon is still in active development so it's feature set is not quite settled in but things like this should be relatively straight forward.

If you have any specific needs please let me know or open a ticket for Zabcon and we'll see what we can do to help.

http://trac.red-tux.net is the Zabcon website. :-)
