Should there be any problems using MySQL 5?

From my first look, no, but I will be testing this out tonight to find out. I suspect there will be zero issues as long as your PHP and zabbix_server are both recompiled against MySQL 5.0. -
No problems so far on our servers.
But your right, as with any MySQL upgrade, remember to recompile and everything is generally smooth

Okay, I managed to perform a small test this evening with zero issues. One thing to note, the client and client_r files were upgraded to 15, vice 14. Because of this, you will need to reset your symlinks as well. Really happy with 5.0 so far, seems faster, and I like the views.
