Zabbix-1.1beta6: maps

I installed zabbix-1.1beta6 (by upgrading from 1.1beta5) on a fedora core 3 with mysql 4 and php 4.
The web interface does not display any map with a background image.

What is the problem?

works here... so I'm not sure. I upgraded from 1.1b1 -> 1.1b6
