I've found thas issue in 1.8.5, and seems like in alpha it's still there, so...
First of all.. Using Chrome and Firefox, looks like behavior's the same.
When I create or modify items (triggers, graphs etc), I click on text field, and when I start to enter (no matter what exectly), cursor jumps to the end of the text field or to the another one, so entered text completely or partly may appear in some unexpected place.
I think it happens when DOM is fully initialized.. But I'm not javascript guru so it's just guess..
