SMTP Custom Port Setup for 2.0

Is this planned for the 2.0 release to allow specifying a SMTP port or will we still need to do the workaround using a custom script and installing msmtp?

I searched and found references that no plans for 1.8 but i was hoping it make the road map for 2.0
