Restarting Zabbix (agent or server)

When i shut down Zabbix agent or server, i have to wait sth. like a minute until i can successfully start it again. Could it be the network listening ports/sockets are not closed correctly on shutdown ?

Yeah, that's the problem. I posted init scripts for debian that automatically handle this for you

it should be easily modified to whatever (*nix) os you are using, I also have versions for redhat and solaris that I use here if you're in a rush.
