I have upgraded my existing installation to 2.1.8. These are the problems I have encountered when trying to add monitoring for my ESXi hosts.
1. The VMWare templates are not added to the database. I set up a new second installation and exported / imported the templates to the primary installation.
2. The VMWare templates cannot be attached to a host from the host>templates dialog, they are not listed. I added them by adding the host to the template instead.
3. Trying to create a host for an ESXi hypervisor, updating macros, attaching template and switching on VM sampling in the server config file I still get no data. It is not clear to me what the interfaces configuration should be on the host tab? Or is there something else I am missing?
