Negative values

Hi Forum

I found many discussions about "negative values", but I am still confused. We use 1.1beta7. I have a script that checks some web sites (response time like 0.6 seconds). If the check fails, it should return -1. The script works fine, it returns -1 but it seems zabbix can't store negative values in its database?

Hi again,

In the Latest Values I see it correct, the script returns -1 how it should:
www.mywebsite.com 10 Jul 09:54:29 -1 - Graph
When I click the "Graph" link, it shows nothing, [ no data ]
zabbix_server.log says: Type of received value [-1] is not suitable for...

The item type is set to: zabbix agent (active)
Type of information: numeric (float)
Units: nothing, empty (default)
Use multiplier: do not use (default)
Store value: as is (default)

I update our zabbix to version 1.1 today. Then I hope it's better.

Cany anyone confirm that it's not possible to store negative values in the database? (1.1 stable). I remember it worked with an older version.

Yes, it worked in 1.0. Obviously it is not the case anymore. This must be considered as a bug and fixed.
