Clean install not working

I did a clean install (OS and Zabbix), all went fine except there are no templates in the GUI.

Even worse, I can't even add a host.

Something is screwed up with this release

Did you install ZABBIX for a distributed monitoring or as a standalone?

What exactly is not working? It works flawlessly here.

Alexei, uhm:

- there are no templates in the GUI.

- I can't add a host.

When adding a host, 1st of all the template dropdown is empty.
2nd of all, clicking save doesn't save the host. That is, the host page stays empty.

Selecting templates from the dropdown in the hosts screen, shows no templates.

OS is Centos 4.4 fully updated.

Interesting. Do you have hosts in the database? Try to run:

select * from hosts

i have the same problem. I can login, but no templates/groups or anything.

the hosts table is populated though:

I am having the same problem, CentOS 4.4 / zabbix 1.3 fresh install, install wizard finishes and I can login as Admin but there are no templates shown, a SELECT * FROM hosts; produces the same list 'flaviocu' shows above.

Any ideas?

Not sure what is happening but I made some progress!

If I login to fresh install of zabbix as Admin there are no templates available, just on a whim I reset the password for user 'osmiy' then logged out and back in as user 'osmiy'

VIOLA!

Templates are there! I logout and back in as Admin sure enough Admin now has templates!

Now templates show up properly each time I login, this is sort of like the user admin page not showing up until you hit the URL once then it shows up on the menu properly...
