Basic stability for production use: v1.3

I'm looking to roll out Zabbix again (originally ran v1.0 but went to another product.....by mistake). As such, I'm looking to roll out the latest version, if it's basically stable enough. I understand the term "beta", but also realize that sometimes the bugs being encountered don't actually effect the operation of the product, but are mere annoyances that can be easily dealt with.

So, is anyone running the latest beta version available for download (v1.3) in a production environment?

Our targeted setup is RHEL 4, MySQL v5.0.27 and PHP v4.4.2 (maybe upgrading to PHP v5). We do not intend on using SNMP monitoring for servers (only other devices), instead installing the agent on all of the servers we need monitored (all currently CentOS v4 or RHEL v3 & v4 based servers).

    Many thanks for any input.

How many machines do you need to monitor?

Perhaps you would have less of an issue with 1.1.4 unless you are not concerned with, and have the time for, debugging any problems you might encounter.

PS: the Zabbix agent is easy to roll out and install and does provide useful information

Have around 50 - 60 devices to monitor (mostly servers, but some firewalls and load balancers).

I'd suggest sticking to 1.1.4. (Sorry Alexei!)

Do not use 1.3.x in production environment! There will be no upgrade path from any beta to 1.4.

            Thanks to both of you.

I had decided late yesterday to install v1.1.4 and hope there was an upgrade path to v1.4 when released. Installation completed and configuration continues.

Now, if I can only figure out Triggers
