I am trying to get the simple check features to work, but something always fails. I installed the 1.3.1 beta with mysql on a debian system.
Agent checks and internal-checks work fine, zabbix-server and zabbix-agent are running on localhost. But none of the simple checks is ever started.
First I tried to do a icmpping to a remote host but the check did never run. I found some information about a fping permission problem, but this is not the problem here. Next I checked the tests "http and "ssh" for the zabbix-system itself and got the same effects.
The simple check is never started, at least there is no timestamp or data set in the database. Additionally I could not find any information about simple checks in the logfile.
Any ideas what I could check next? Does anyone else have problems with simple checks and the 1.3.1 version? Or is it working somewhere? Any information could help me ;-)
