xml import

Hi,

1.3.3 seems to be not so far away and i can't wait to use all those neat features !

I am using 1.1.6 right now and want to add nodes to zabbix system using my intranet . I heard that 1.4 will have xml import tool and i wanted to know if this is allready in the 1.3 beta versions right now and if there is any documentation on it so i can test the beast

Does anyone has played with 1.3 and can tell me ?

seriously, i would not ..
wait to the 1.3.3 release .
I use the 1.3.2 and you have to patch several things and work around quiete some bugs, because there hasnt be a change since 3 months, and all the reported bugs will be fixed in the next release, which is unknown when to be released ...

you would wish, not to have used 1.3.2 ...

thanks for the warning, i upgraded to 1.3.3 from 1.1.6. The upgrade failed and i started from scratch.

Now i see i can import / export. But is it possible to specify template linkage in the xml import ? My goal is to import a host and say : this host is linked to this template. So when i add a host to my intranet it autoaticaly start to monitor it. Of course as all the hosts are pretty the same i want to use a template for it

Also, is it possible to import from the command line automaticaly and not from the web interface i cannot find anything in the source dir and docs about this ?

in fact from the source code it sems that you cannot use it from command line and you cannot link to template. Do you think import could link to template for 1.4 ?

Would be great. As a remark i find the gui quicker in 1.3.3 than in 1.1.6. I have to relaod my hosts to see how it behaves but this seems quicker in overall
