Like many others, still wondering when this long awaited version will become available ?
initialy planned for january 2007, then feb..
what's happening ?

Hi Alex.
Please could you tell when the autodiscovery will be implemented. We are deciding between Zabbix and OpenNMS. I mean commercial versions.

We definitely need auto discovery. I always used zabbix for monitoring but my boss in my new job used a little bit OpenNMS. OpenNMS has got already implementation of autodiscovery which works very well. I think that Zabbix has got better interface and I like the way how agents works. We need to monitor mainly switches (SNMP).

I still cannot compare both these product because I dont know to much about OpenNMS, but I think that Zabbix can do the same thing as OpenNMS but with better interface. At least for me it is more logical interface.

Please can you tell when the autodiscovery will be available. We would like to test it and pay for quick installation, support and basic configuration.

ZABBIX 1.4 will support autodiscovery. I won't comment on exact release date, though I can only say that we are doing all our best to have it released as soon as possible.

¿ removed support of action repeats in 1.3.4 ?

The action repeat is a really good feature.

Actually, using the 1.1.1 version, we are receiving notificacions with an interval of 30 minutes, using the action repeat feature.

¿ Can I ask why is removed ?

Because it will be replaced by more flexible escalation module which will support repeats and much more.
