Server {HOSTNAME} is unreachable zabbix 1.3.5

i have 5 servers in my zabbix, i'm getting reports ok except item host status with its trigger Server {HOSTNAME} is unreachable zabbix 1.3.5, it remains unknown, i looked for solutions but i can't find how to fix this error.

i read about the value mappings and a problem with its values, 0, 1, 2, but the problem is that it seems the server can't perform this verification on the agents

please tell me where o how i can solv this problem.

I have 2 zabbix servers. One server says, Server {HOSTNAME} is unreachable works just fine. Green on everyone.

The other one, Server {HOSTNAME} is unreachable, is grey on every one. Running version 1.4.5 for server on Ubuntu 8.04 on both servers.

Any ideas? What does it do to know it's reachable? Settings appear to be the same on both servers, as far as I can tell. Thanks.

Duhh... I figured it out. One server got going and was thinking every server was unreachable because i changed the IP of the box and didn't update DNS. So then the status updated on that server to reachable again.

On the other server, I had the DNS set up correctly when I got it going, so it won't show a green box for reachable until it's unreachable and then reachable again.

I testing it by stopping the zabbix-agent on one of the servers and sure enough, when it came back up, the box for that server was green.
