Exporting hosts and templates is all right. But if you use extended chars (áéó...) in name definitions, when import intented appear this error: # XML error: Invalid character at line nnn
This happens because the exported file does not have format UTF8. For have not problems when importing, it be turned with an external program to format UTF8 (ultraedit)

I've the same problem with Zabbix 1.6...

XML error: Invalid character at line 40
it's a 'é' char on a label !!!

I've believe that 1.6 web interface has full support of UTF-8 ??

While the interface has full UTF-8 support, it protects database from using of UTF-8 characters.

ZABBIX 1.5.4 (beta) released

:: Added support of UTF-8

ZABBIX front-end is UTF-8 ready. Note that ZABBIX database and ZABBIX server and agent processes are still not ready
for correct processing of UTF-8 data.

So this is not reported to 1.6 version ?? So when do you planned this ?
