system.cpu.util not working v1.3.5

I issued the following command:
zabbix_agentd -t system.cpu.util

and receive the following:
system.cpu.util[] [m|Collector is not started!]

I am running v1.3.5 on SLES 9 and SLES 10.

Dual 3-GHz Xeon processors

system.cpu.util[] works only when agent collector process is started as the hint suggests. The value cannot be retrieved via '-t'.
