    [1.3.7] SNMP v2 discovery does not work

    Code:
    ./configure     --enable-server --enable-agent \
                    --with-mysql \
                    --with-net-snmp \
                    --with-libcurl=/usr/local
    Code:
    >snmpget -c commun -v2c 172.17.1.10 .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0

      Not working with 1.3.8

      Hi,

      I downloaded zabbix 1.3.8 and tried to use the snmp discovery with no success.

      843:20070518:103019 IP [10.44.1.7]
      843:20070518:103019 Query [select dcheckid,druleid,type,key_,snmp_community,ports from dchecks where druleid=2]
      843:20070518:103019 In process_check(ip:10.44.1.7, ports:161, type:10)
      843:20070518:103019 In discover_service(ip:10.44.1.7, port:161, type:10)
      843:20070518:103019 End discover_service()
      843:20070518:103019 In update_service(ip:10.44.1.7, port:161, status:down)
      843:20070518:103019 In register_host(ip:10.44.1.7)
      843:20070518:103019 Query [select dhostid,druleid,ip,status,lastup,lastdown from dhosts where ip='10.44.1.7' and dhostid>=100000000000000*0 and dhostid<=(100000000000000*0+99999999999999) ]
      843:20070518:103019 End register_host()
      843:20070518:103019 End process_check()
      843:20070518:103019 In add_host_event(ip:10.44.1.7)
      843:20070518:103019 Query [select status,dhostid from dhosts where ip='10.44.1.7']
      843:20070518:103019 End add_host_event()

      I don't know if the problem is with my. My community name has special characters, for instance Public$05.

      When I use snmpget (snmpget -v2c -c Public\$05 10.44.1.7 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0) I need to put a backslash before the special character.

      Anyway I tried to configure zabbix with and without backslah. I Also tried to change from snmp2 to snmp1. Nothing happened.

        Yes, it does not work with 1.3.8. The fix is in SVN code.
