    1.3.7: Admin Permissions lost after upgrading

    Hi,

    I upgraded from 1.1.6 to 1.3.7 using mysql patch.

    The migration went smoothly, except I don't have access to configuration page with my admin access.

    Thanks for your help.

    Are you connecting as "Admin"? Make sure that the login name has type=3 in table 'users'.

      [bug] 1.3.7: Admin Permissions lost after upgrading

      Looking at the code of patch.sql

      Code:
      CREATE TABLE rights_tmp (
              rightid bigint unsigned DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL,
              groupid bigint unsigned DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL,
              type integer DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL,
              permission integer DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL,
              id              bigint unsigned                 ,
              PRIMARY KEY (rightid)
      ) ENGINE=InnoDB;
      CREATE INDEX rights_1 on rights_tmp (groupid);

      --insert into rights_tmp select * from rights;
      drop table rights;
      alter table rights_tmp rename rights;

      The insert is commented, so the table rights is not populated.

        The table should not be populated as 1.4 offers completely different user permission schema. Look at users.sql, we set type to '3' for user 'Admin'.

          I had this same problem upgrading from 1.1.7 to 1.3.7, updated the table to show admin user as type 3 and was able to login and see the configuration and administration tab.

              I changed the type to 3 and it works now.

              It would be great to have a warning in the upgrade doc.

              Thanks all for your answer.

                so is this behaviour considered normal ?
                it's actually kinda bad, as after an upgrade admin user is mysteriously missing any rights...
