[1.3.8] web monitoring causes zabbix to crash

Just upgraded to 1.3.8 on Solaris 10. Whenever I turn on a simple web scenario, the zabbix_server process dies with an error in the log of "out of memory. requested '-4203071' bytes."

Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?
