    Zabbix 1.1a9 - Few Questions

    Hi There..

Started using Zabbix this week, and have been so impressed I have replaced it with our current solution (ServersAlive running on a w2k box) and even gone past Nagios which I was going to use.

However I have a few questions:

    Alpha builds:
With the new alpha builds, a new release of the W32 client is also released. is it imperative to roll this out and replace current agents, or is it okay to continue to run with the older versions (they seem stable).

    Escalations:
Are these currently working? If so, I can;t work out how to set them up!

    New Alpha Releases:
Is it necessary to do full db rebuilds, etc when moving from each alpha release?

    SLA Graphs:
Currently show a full year - is it possible to break these down to each month/each day, etc?

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Alpha builds:

It is OK to keep older agents. However if you plan to use active checks or log file monitoring, you have to upgrade them (Unix, not supported by W32 yet).

    Escalations:

No, escalation is not implemented yet.

    New Alpha Releases:

No, just follow standard upgrade procedure described in the ZABBIX Manual. You have to apply DB patches, re-build binaries and upgrade PHP scripts.

    SLA Graphs:

It is already supported (1.1alpha9). Click on SLA (Last 7 days) bar to see this report!
