Version 1.5 Build 5027 - Zabbix_Server stops

Zabbix_Server stops and give the following message in the zabbix_server.log

*** glibc detected *** ./zabbix_server: free(): invalid pointer: 0x000000000072a110 ***

Sounds like there is a free malloc to an invalid pointer name.

Hi,

if you use the current development tree, you might want to check the ZABBIX bugtracking system (login required) if you experience problems like this.

In this case, I reported this some time ago and yesterday Alex closed the bug, saying it had been fixed in a recent revision.
(Although I must say I didn't have time yet to check if the problem still exists in my setup.)

I just tried the most recent version and it is fixed now. :-) Thanks for the info. Are your SNMP items polling by any chance? Mine for some reason do not.

Does it really work for you? Because it still crashes for me and Richlv (see updated bug report).

Build 5058 did not stop for the zabbix_server daemon but SNMP or active agent items where not being updated. I have not tried 5065 yet.
