Actually those links are pretty helpful, I hadn't used them before. But what I really was thinking is a quick stickied post from Alexi (or someone) in the Announcements forum saying something like:
Progress report for: Zabbix 1.6 Beta
Update for the week of: 12/10/2007
Current projected release: 12/20/2007
Current outstanding release blocking issues: 74
It looks like this can be figured out (maybe) from those links you gave, but it would be nice to have it in a sussinct version in here so we don't have to log into the support site to find out. I know this would be an imperfect estimate of a moving target, but it would be something simple to let those planning deployment (like me) make (slightly) better decisions...Comment

Some time ago Alexei was writing in their blog (allocated in the wiki).
I was find their posts very interesting, but, think that the time is limited (for all).

i open roadmap page in bug tracker, and there are a lot of unresolved bugs in 1.4.x versions, there is no 1.5/1.6 version tag at all
so now jira looks like simple list of open bugs and it doesn't helps if i want to look on current zabbix state

i suggest to NOT release version 1.6 yet - there are LOTS of annoying bugs in 1.4 which should be fixed first.Comment
