Database Monitor Item Type in 1.6

Can anyone provide configuration information/documentation on the Database Monitor item type works in 1.6? I am trying to set it up and get errors in the zabbix_server.log saying the remote agent doesn't support the functionality, though the remote agent is v1.5.2 (extracted from the win32 build folder on my 1.5.2 install)...

any thoughts or suggestions would be *greatly* appreciated!!

    tia,
    Bill

This is a server-side check. Agents are not involved at all. More information will be available in ZABBIX Manual at some point.

I *think* this only applies for the zabbix database itself (so that the zabbix daemon doesnt crash but can take action on such an event).

If you want to monitor other databases, just use an agent with a service check or script + userparameter to login and check db internals.
