    Which Database System?

I'm wondering what database systems people are using for their large environment deployments of Zabbix? Is PostgreSQL becoming more popular in Zabbix 2 because of the issue related to partitioning in MySQL with foreign keys?

We moved from mysql to postgres when went up to 2 purely so could keep the partitioning of the tables. It makes managing even a modestly sized database a dream by comparison.

      Jason,

What method of partitioning are you using and on what Zabbix version?

Have you run into any problems with upgrades?

      Thanks!

        I used this method.

This was fresh install when we moved from 1.8 to 2.0

I've done a test upgrade to 2.2 from a backup copy of our main database. First time i tried it it failed as it seems the backup was incomplete. Tried again with a fresh backup and all seems fine. When it went wrong it was wrong before the upgrade... For info... Our database is around 60GB and the upgrade took a minute or so to complete... Tail the server logs to watch it
