    Upgrade to 2.2

    Hello,

I have large ( i think so ) zabbix installation with 6 proxy, 500 hosts and 153822 items.

with 1 year of data in mysql database (partitioning configured for history/trends tables)

If someone already upgrade similar size system to 2.2, what time did it take what problems you encounter. And what to do ti DB?

    Thank you in advance.

Will go through it on Friday, will let know everyone what happened

Just follow standard Zabbix upgrade procedure and you will be fine. Partitioning will be preserved, no problem.

Just make sure you are upgrading server and proxies in one go. No need to upgrade agents.

I think the whole process will take 10-30 minutes (maybe even less) depending on number of records in the table 'events'.

      Thank you Alexei,

Everything worked as a charm, DB changes took less then 5 min. Hit few compatibilities issues with internal items ( had to move internal proxy last access item from proxy to server)

The only problem and big one is that Latest Data screen is really slow. Often it simply timeout. Sometimes I kill mysql process (with huge select) to make it timeout and choose host

I would rather come back to old Latest Data when it load counters only when you open them....

      Thank you again.

This is a known problem which I believe will be addressed in 2.2.1. Meanwhile you may consider setting 'Dropdown first entry' to 'none' under Administration->General->GUI.

          Taking advantage,

Could take a doubt about your table partitioning?

What version of mysql are you using?

from what I read, mysql-5.5 does not support partitioning table with foreign key

As I saw after trying 2.2.1 release, this trouble still unresolved
